What is a facial?A facial is a skin treatment for the face. Designed to cleanse, exfoliate and nourish, and mask the skin. An esthetician will perform a thorough skin analysis. Providing professional recommendations for future treatments and at home skincare.

If I'm new to my skincare journey or have never had a facial which service should I book?You should start with a Signature Deluxe Facial as it includes a Full Skin Analysis, Skin Consultation, Progressive Treatment Plan, and Facial Treatment.

Do you offer Chemical Peels?Yes,I do. However everyone is not a candidate for chemical peels.chemical peels are also best to do certain times of the year. Winter is usually the best time to peel because you don't have as much time outside and sun exposure. You would also need to start with a Signature Deluxe Facial in order to do a skin assessment prior to moving forward to any peel treatment plan. You will need to prep your skin by using professional skincare products consistently for 2 weeks prior to starting the peel process.

Do you offer Facial Services for Kids/Pre-Teens/ Teens?Yes, I service children 9 years old and up accompanied by a parent. Products that are used on younger clients are gentle enough for their frequently changing skin.

How often should I get a facial?Having one every three to four weeks helps you maintain that beautiful glow. If you have acne prone skin every two weeks it is recommended you wait until the skin calms down and the acne goes away.

How soon after my Facial can I wear makeup?Its recommended to wait at least 24 hours. However, 48 hours is preferred. Depending on what Facial Treatment Plan you are on this timeframe may need to be amended.

I received a chemical peel but I’m not seeing visible peeling?Our peels range from mild to medium. Some peels you will not see any visible signs of peeling because the work is taking place on a microscopic level.

Does waxing hurt?Yes, but the pain goes away in seconds and every person's pain tolerance is different. It does get much easier after the first time. If you are extra sensitive or about to get your period please consider taking ibuprofen 45 minutes to an hour prior to your appointment. Getting waxed while on your cycle may cause you to be more sensitive.

Can I get waxed while I’m on my period?Yes. While you might be more sensitive during this time of the month, you can still wax!

What is the appropriate hair length needed in order to get body waxing services?Your hair should be at least the length of a rice grain or 8-15mm for best results. Any shorter in length the wax may not grip the hair appropriately for optimal hair removal. Depending on how fast your hair grows approximately two to four weeks of hair growth is required prior to body waxing services.

Can hair be to long to get body waxing services?Anything hair long than 1/2 can be more uncomfortable and could break below the surface. It is recommended that hair not be to long or to short for best wax results. Depending on how fast your hair grows approximately two to four weeks of hair growth is required prior to body waxing services.

What kind of wax do you use?At our Beauty Studio, we offer 4 different types of hard wax and 2 different types of soft wax. Each service provider chooses what wax to use based on your personal hair and skin type.

What should I do to prepare for my wax?You should have at least 3 weeks of growth between each body wax, and at least 2 weeks between each facial wax. For better results, you should exfoliate the area in between treatments.

How long does the waxing last?It differs with each person depending on how fast their hair grows. On average, waxing will last between 3-6 weeks depending on the area waxed. Remember the more you wax, the longer it will last!

What should I avoid after body waxing services?For at least 24 hour post wax you should avoid the following: Sex ( including oral) Hot baths Jacuzzi/ Hot tubs Frequented Products Tight underwear or clothing

What if I am pregnant?You can still get waxed and it is common for moms-to-be to get a Brazilian bikini before giving birth. Please let us know if you are in your 2nd trimester or further along when making the appointment. We will schedule more time to ensure maximum comfort!

Are there any age restrictions on waxing?We are a family-friendly salon, meaning you must be 18 years old to wax or have parental approval. Waxing needs to be performed of minors that have at least hit puberty.

What’s the difference between a Regular Bikini and a Brazilian?Our Regular Bikini just waxes the outside of the Bikini Line. Our Brazilian takes as little or as much off of the front as you want. Our Brazilian takes as little or as much off of the front as you want, plus does the back.

When should I not get waxed?If you are in cancer therapy, receiving chemotherapy, or radiation treatment. If you are taking Rx Accutane, Differin, Retin A, Antibiotics, or any medication that may cause sun sensitivity. You should also avoid waxing while using salicylic acid, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, Obagi products, any harsh exfoliants, or any facial peels. All these products thin out your skin and will make you more sensitive and likely to burn or peel. Please wait 2-6 weeks depending on how long you have been on the medication before you wax, as we want to make sure the medications are out of your system. If you are not sure of how you may react from any other prescriptions you are taking, please contact your physician.

Can I purchase skincare products and waxing post care products online and have them shipped to my home?Absolutely.

I don't live in the state of Illinois do you offer Virtual Consultations?Yes.

What form of Payments to you accept?We accept all forms of payment. MC, Visa, Discover, American Express, HSA, FSA, and Cash. However, cash is the preferred method. When you CC you may incur the credit cards fees assessed to process your payment.
